Last Saturday VG1 went into battle again, this time against Ons Clubje. Within the first 10 seconds the first goal fell and before the first minute was over the second goal, both for us. Luck remained on our side, we obviously played the stars from heaven and went into halftime with an 11-7 lead. The enthusiasm alone was not enough, because no matter how nice the chances were the second half only one more went in. on the other hand, things went well for a while at Ons Clubje. Which made for a beautiful game where both sides were competing with each other, exciting until the last minutes. Eventually, after some beautiful actions on both sides, where Vakgericht missed a little too often, the score was 12-12. Last friday we played an amazing match against the team that had already become the champion of the competition. Since we are hanging by a thread at the bottom of the ranking we did not have the highest hopes for this game. However after a short time it became clear that we were not chanceless. In the beginning Sara scored a few amazing goals which caused us to be tied with the opponent. It must be said that Maarten was doing a wonderful job defending against the person on their side that was apparently the great scorer. We didn't notice because Maarten had him in his pocket. Unfortunately we just missed a few crucial chances with caused us to be just behind the opponent after the first half. Vakgericht 1 – SDO (W) 1

Today, the second home game of the season was on the schedule, against the second-placed team in the league: SDO Westerhaar. Vakgericht started the game strongly and scored the opening goal. In defense, SDO had space to shoot, but Vakgericht positioned well under the korff to catch the missed shots. The tying goal followed. Throughout the first half, Vakgericht took the lead in the game and played their own game. Walking-through passes, long distance shots, free balls, and short shots followed, resulting in 8 goals just before halftime. It seemed like we would go into the break with a tie, until Maarten scored a goal in the referee's whistle. With a one-goal lead, we started the second half. The game was even for a long time. Ons Clubje 1 – Vakgericht 1

Last Saturday Vakgericht 1 had to travel to faraway Glanerbrug to play a match against Ons Clubje 1. An match against an opponent we can win from, but against whom we always give ourselves a hard time... today as well. The match began and Vakgericht struggled to score. Fortunately, our star player Amber joined us this match. She saved the day with her goals. Both sides scored some goals, but we kept the score tight. At half-time, we were only leading by 1 point. After Gernand's coaching, we created better opportunities in the second half. Unfortunately, there were still few goals on our side. It was always equal or 1 difference in terms of score. Just before the end, Luuk made the difference of 2 goals. The game ended 9-11 for us, so we got our first points in the ranking!
