Activities
The Activities Committee ensures that, in addition to korfball, a number of fun activities are organised. Every month an activity and a drink are organised. The activities differ: sometimes they are small activities like a game night and laser gaming. They can also be big activities like the Batavierenrace and the Verenigingsweekend. Besides a number of fixed activities such as the New Year dinner, the Batavierenrace and the club weekend, the committee is free to decide which activities to organise!
Drinks
After training, there’s always a small group that sticks around to cool down and have a drink in the sports canteen, as it should be. Once a month, we move our delightful company to another pub in Enschede, where we happily spend the rest of the evening enjoying the selection of craft beers. Even if you don’t drink alcohol, there’s always plenty of choice with soft drinks or alcohol-free beer. One thing’s for sure—the company won’t disappoint!
FlaKo
Every spring, an open korfball tournament is organized, where anyone can participate! You don’t even need to be a member or know how to play korfball. Each year, we welcome dozens of participants with dinner, and after a brief introduction, you can jump right in! It’s the perfect opportunity to introduce your housemates or other friends to korfball. Be sure to keep an eye on Instagram for the next edition because you won’t want to miss this!
VET
The Vakgericht Enschede Tournament is the student korfball tournament hosted by Vakgericht in July. It’s a real beach korfball tournament combined with a barbecue and a campsite! The entire tournament takes place on campus, with the campsite right next to the beach field, and the party within walking distance, so everything is conveniently close. Combine that with some nice summer sunshine (and refreshments to quench your thirst), and you have the perfect way to wrap up the academic year!
Association Weekend
The association weekend is our annual getaway with the entire club. Together, we’ll make a location in the Netherlands lively all weekend long! This is also a time for old members to reconnect and dust off the furniture. Each year, we’re entertained with a series of wonderfully organized activities, and we explore the local area, nature, and pubs with great enthusiasm. Where will we be heading this year?
