Vakgericht 1 – SDO (W) 2

September 29, 2025

A few days after the start of the Midweek competition, the Vakgericht weekend team was also ready to play their first match of the outdoor season. The home team was fully prepared: the last one at the house party was the first on the pitch, with his three other teammates completing one section. The other section was equally fit, but with a bit more sleep in their legs. This match also marked the return of Denise, the introduction of Arjanne, and Femke's refereeing debut. With no substitutes and a large visiting team, the match kicked off. The sunshine and pleasant temperature completed the setting. Both sides fought hard. The pace was high, but goals remained relatively few and far between. We can confidently conclude that the defense was tight. The score was tied at 6-6 at halftime. Although the visitors made a few substitutions, the students held on bravely: 4,…

Amicitia MW1 – Vakgericht MW1

September 25, 2025

A beautiful Wednesday evening in mid-September can only mean one thing: the midweek has begun! Full of enthusiasm, ten Vakgerichters traveled to the picturesque town of Vriezenveen to take on Amicitia. Because the home team's outfit is predominantly white, the students brought their splendid away kits with them, which generated varying levels of enthusiasm. We were certainly impossible to miss on the field, and after a somewhat unexpectedly short warm-up, we kicked off a friendly match. It took a while for the first point to fall, but the home team opened the scores. However, Vakgericht refused to be discouraged, and with very long attacks, the visitors also scored. The match was in balance, and Vakgericht kept the defense nice and tight. However, Amicitia managed to score several times from long range, and Vakgericht racked up a lot of deflections, giving the home team a narrow lead going into the second…

Vakgericht grabs first win of the spring season

May 30, 2025

The second-to-last match of the year was already on the programme for Vakgericht 1 last Saturday. This time, the students, who did not win a match yet this spring season, had to travel to Wierden to face Blauw Zwart 3, a team they know well. Whereas in the previous game Vakgericht lost after an exciting and sportive battle, this time the team intended to take revenge. Vakgericht started the game strongly and after a 1-1 start they took a 2-5 lead. For the rest of the first half, Vakgericht was the dominant team, playing long attacks with lots of variation. Combined with strong defensive work thay took a large lead into the break, 2-8. Blauw Zwart was not beaten yet, however, and with some personnel changes and several tactical conversions, which hit their mark both offensively and defensively, started the second half very strongly. The blue-black brigade scored very quickly…

Vakgericht 1 – Blauw-Zwart 3

It is a beautiful Saturday morning. The sun is shining and the sky is blue, what a perfect day to kick off the field competition at home against Blauw-Zwart from Wierden. Something you wouldn't immediately expect: they play in blue-black kits. There was no sign of a personnel shortage on Vakgericht’s side. With 2 spectators, as many referees and Dennis Denise's debut in the weekend team, it was clear that we did not need any substitutes at all. After Bert gave us a little talk on how to best beat the opponent, including a well-researched situation sketch about their most likely strategy, we could not wait to start the game. During the opening stages of the match, the visitors took the lead and soon found themselves on a comfortable 2-4 lead. However, Vakgericht's warriors did not give up and with a couple of impressive nice attacks and some tactical changes,…
