Nienke Buskens – Chairwoman
Hi all! My name is Nienke and this year I have the honor to be the chairwoman of Vakgericht. Currently, I am finishing my Bachelor Advanced Technology, and in February I hope to start my Master Applied Physics. With this, I hope to contribute to the innovations in sustainable energy. I was born in Nieuwegein, where I started playing korfball when I was 9 years old. When I moved to Enschede I was planning to do a different sport, but the kind people at Vakgericht convinced me to keep playing korfball. Now I am already active at Vakgericht for three years and I am still having a lot of fun. I am looking forward to making this a very nice year full of fun and sportiness.
Jinte de Bree – Secretary
Hey hi everyone! My name is Jinte de Bree and this year I will take on the role of secretary at this beautiful association. Because you will see my name regularly in your mailbox, I will briefly explain who is behind the emails :). I am 19 years old and a second-year student in the biomedical engineering program. I am originally from Hellevoetsluis where I started my korfball adventure at korfball club AKV ‘t Capproen. After playing korfball there for 8 years, I played korfball at club ASVD Dronten for another year. And that wasn’t the end of the korfball adventure! This will now be my second year at Vakgericht. Last year I was active in the VletKo committee, the perfect steppingstone to a board year according to several experienced ‘Vakgerichters’. So, here I am! I’m really looking forward to this year with all the training, competitions, drinks, activities and tournaments. It will be fun!
Paula Kroon – Treasurer
Heyhey, I am Paula, and I will be the treasurer of Vakgericht this year. I am 20 years old and now in my third year of biomedical engineering. I am originally from Bennekom which barely anyone knows, but within the korfball world it is a lot more known because of DVO. Before I joined Vakgericht a year ago I had never played korfball before, but I really liked the association, so I decided to try out a new sport. I had already been to two activities of Vakgericht before I was even a member, namely the Flako and at the Zwarte Cross and now I am doing a board year. I am very much looking forward to the coming year with these people and see you at the trainings, matches, activities, drinks and tournaments!
Sander Mooren – Match Secretary
Hi everyone, my name is Sander and I’m Vakgericht’s current match secretary. I am 26 years old, and I was born and raised in Nijmegen. That’s also where I started playing korfball when I was 19 years old at KV Noviomagum. I have been a member of Vakgericht for four years now. After having finished the master Civil Engineering & Management I stayed at the UT as a PhD student. Currently I’m in my second year. On Saturdays you can find me on the korfball pitch as a referee. Occasionally I put my own limited korfball skills on display in Vakgericht’s midweek team. Just like last year I am part of part of the paparazcie as the association’s inhouse photographer.
Loes Henstra – Internal Affairs
Hey! I am Loes Henstra, 22 years old, and the Commissioner of ‘Gezelligheid’ aka the Commissioner of Internal Affairs. Although I was born in Oxford, I lived my entire life in the beautiful Provence of Groningen, in a village called Zuidhorn. Here I played Korfball at KV Zunobri since I was just 6 years old, and later also became trainer and committee member at this association. This is my fourth year at SKV Vakgericht and also in my Bachelor UCT-ATLAS (What this study entails I can better explain during one of the association’s drinks). I always had a lot of fun at Vakgericht’s trainings and activities. I therefore would like to take a more central role within the association this year. I am looking forward to work, together with my amazing board members, on keeping the association going. See you at the next drink!
